An early departure is necessary for the dramatic drive over the mountain pass of Dochu la and on the Punakha valley.
Start the morning with a hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten. Following the hike, you can visit the impressive Punakha Dzong.
The four hour journey to Paro takes you back across the impressive Dochu la. Enjoy the picnic at any beautiful spot on the route back along the dramatic Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu valleys.
Begin the day with a visit to the National Museum, Just a short walk downhill lies in the imposing Paro Dzong. From Dzong the tour crosses Nyamai Zampa.
The four hour trek offers spectacular views of the scared monastery perched on rocks. Hike up to view Bhutan’s most impressive monuments, Tiger’s Nest.
