12 Nights – Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at OR Tambo
Arrive at OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in. Spend the balance of the day at leisure.
Day 2 : arrival at HDS airport
– Upon arrival at HDS airport you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Lunch is served at the lodge upon arrival (arrival time permitting – please check flight details and gate times). Afternoon game drive which may continue into the early evening in order to view the nocturnal animals as well.
Day 3: open safari vehicle
Early morning wake up call. After tea, coffee and snacks your ranger will escort you to his open safari vehicle for your morning game drive. Return to the lodge and enjoy breakfast. Spend the day at leisure. Lunch is served at the lodge. Afternoon game drive that continues into the evening.
Day 4: Transfer back to HDS airport
Transfer back to HDS airport to connect with your domestic flight to JNB and onward flight to George (GRJ). Upon arrival in George, you will be met by your driver for your private transfer to Knysna.
Day 5: Explore the quaint town of Knysna
Explore the quaint town of Knysna known for its art & craft shops. “The place of the people, beauty and mystery.” This ever-popular charming town of legend, history, arts and crafts catering to visitor’s every need or fancy.
Day 6 : Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world
Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world. Nowhere else are ostriches found in such great number and nowhere else do they produce feathers of such fine quality – but the world’s biggest bird is just one attraction in an area of enormous contrasts.
Day 7: Transfer to Hermanus.
You will be met by your driver-guide for your private transfer to Hermanus. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in. Spend the balance of the day at leisure.
Day 8: Explore the coastal town of Hermanus
Explore the coastal town of Hermanus. Hermanus is a popular resort town that has gained universal recognition, as the world’s best land-based whale watching destination.
Day 9 : Transfer to Cape Town
Breakfast at the hotel. You will be met by your driver-guide for a private transfer to Cape Town. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in. Spend the balance of the day at leisure.
Day 10 : Guide for a Private Half Day Cape Town City Tour.
You will be met at your hotel by your driver-guide for a Private Half Day Cape Town City Tour. Ascend Table Mountain for unforgettable sweeping views (weather permitting). Return to the city and pass through the Malay Quarter.
Day 11 : Cape Peninsula
Travel at a pace that allows you to explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula. Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa’s most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
Day 12 : At Hotel
Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day at leisure.
